We went with the kids to "this is the Place Park" It is a shame that we live in Utah and we had never gone before now.

Here is the family! it was fun to tell the kids the story of how the Pioneers came to Utah and all the sacrifice they did.

It is a beautiful place, where you can really feel the spirit of the early Pioneers

Nicky and I really liked this statue, it shows pioneer family praying, what a great example!

Michale, like always is such a good helper with his sisters, Caitlin is living up to the "terrible two's" myth... (If you have or ever had a two year old.. you know it is NOT a myth!!!, ha,ha)

Diana, love your recent family photos and "This is the Place" photos. I didn't remember seeing the family praying statues and also love them. . .
Have you ever visited the other pioneer park nearby (charges a fee), that Justin's family visited last July 24? It has a pioneer village and volunteers dressed as pioneers that demonstrate their typical activities. They have special seasonal events, too. Marisa could give you their website. We should go sometime!
It's great that you Brownies took time to visit this important pioneer memorial. . . Your milkshake photos were cute! Sometimes the nonposed ones are the best of all ! At least you and Max were still smiling, in spite of fatigue. . . Hope that you get the needed rest and relaxation each day; wish that I lived closer so that I could help with that. . .
Love to all the family!
Mamacita / Grandma Aleen
